Nicole Donnelly is a San Diego born artist and educator who currently resides in Reno, Nevada, where she teaches Drawing and Visual Foundations classes at the University of Nevada, Reno. She holds a BA in Studio Art from San Diego State University and an MFA in Printmaking from CUNY Brooklyn College. Her artworks explore the ways humans relate to and move through landscapes (these may be landscapes grounded in reality or those of the mind). The processes involved in painting, printmaking, and book arts mimic the natural effects of atmosphere, layering, and erosion that occur in the land, and viewers are invited to consider ways to navigate each pathway into the world that is presented.
